Probably the best accommodation we have ever stayed at. Beautifully decorated and everything was perfect, every detail was thought about. ( flashlights and candles for an eventual power blackout, insect... read more spray and repellent eventual mosquitos, all bathroom commodities were there and even fresh fruit in the fridge) Would love to live there , felt so at home! Deborah even booked a table at a local restaurant for us, because the rest were all closed on Sunday. Very proactive. The pool was amazing , and the garden stunning with lots of different fruit trees and birdlife to match it. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer, was a real gem in Prince Albert. The outdoor space is really cool to have a glass of wine and dinner and you're surrounded by beautiful well kept gardens which is so peaceful. The cottage is located on the Main Street so the location is amazing to walk into town, but it also secure and private so feels safe. Loved our stay!

The bedroom... read more is a haven of peace and tranquility. It has a fan and aircon. We noticed that the cottage is also well equipped for cold winter days and nights. The cottage has two en-suite bedrooms, lounge, dining and large kitchen area. There is a lovely outside area to sit, and a lovely shaded braai area. Dee is very hospitable and responds promptly to any messages. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

De tous les endroits que nous avons découvert depuis plus de 10 ans , environ une cinquantaine, vraiment l’endroit qui vaut le détour avec une relation qualité/prix sans concurrence ! De plus la localisation géographique vous fera découvrir l’authentique Karoo à environ 1h30 de route d’Oudshoorn capitale mondiale des autruches et de George réputé dans le monde entier pour les amateurs de golf. The cottage was spotless and it had every amenity we needed. Much appreciated was the AC, since it was 38° when we were there in January. The cottage feels very spacious and the outside terrace was brilliant for lying and reading or just dozing. The gardens are beautiful and it all feels very private. It was great to start the day with a swim in the pool and then have breakfast on the terrace. The host was extremely helpful and she helped us to plan out visits to local restaurants at night. The area feels very safe and it is no problem to walk home at night from the restaurants. If you are interested in cheese, the local dairy, Gay's is well worth a visit! What a wonderful stay at Olive Grove House. Drinks and dips in the gorgeous pool; a braai in the braai 'enclosure' and alfresco dining under the vines and stars; outdoor showers and time to unwind and soak up the birdlife on the glorious patio. The house is beautifully decorated and the bedrooms are completely separate and private from each other. The kitchen fireplace kept us cosy when the weather turned fresh. Meandering down the quaint streets of a well-maintained, safe Prince Albert and dining out were wonderful too. We were so sad that we had only booked a 2 nights and could have stayed a whole week. Kind touches - fresh milk and lots of ice in the fridge. Relaxing, open space. ☹ Was alarmed by drive-in entrance over the road from ugly industrial workshop. But once inside, this becomes invisible and forgotten! The bathroom towels are smaller than necessary.
